I am Jean-Edouard Stocq, osteopath D.O.
Trained first as a physiotherapist, I then turned to osteopathy and obtained my D.O. diploma in 2009 at the Sutherland College of Osteopathic Medicine. This dual background gives me a sound knowledge of the body. It also makes it easy for me to work with the physiotherapists, doctors and other health professionals who follow my patients.
I am a member of the UPMO (Union professionnelle de médecine ostéopathique), the Belgian professional association of osteopaths.
I also sang for more than ten years in the choir of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. I therefore know from the inside the demands placed on a professional voice, which helps me a great deal with singers, actors, teachers and everyone whose voice is their working tool.
Since graduating, I have continued to train in order to better meet specific needs:
Pregnancy, babies and children
- Perinatal care
- Paediatric osteopathy
- Primitive reflexes
Voice
- Ostéovox
- Estill Voice Training, levels 1 and 2
Visceral approach
- Qualitative Viszerale Osteopathie (Berlin)
Jaw
- Temporomandibular joint disorders
This training allows me to help a mother-to-be or a newborn who struggles to feed just as well as a singer before a concert, an athlete after an injury or someone troubled by digestive or jaw pain.
I practise in Kraainem, Schaerbeek, Auderghem and La Hulpe.
